I live in Houma, Louisiana, which is 65 miles southwest
of New Orleans, Yes there is life south of New Orleans.
Houma is in Terrebonne Parish which means Good Earth in the
French Language.
Louisiana has a lot to offer if you love nature.
She has wetlands, swamps, marsh, forests, etc.
For the sportsman, there is fresh and saltwater Fishing,
in the bayous, lakes, ponds, and in the Gulf of
Mexico, which is not far from Houma.
The Types of fish Louisiana sports are:
Bass
Catfish (great eating)
Speckled Trout
Redfish
Socaliet (soc-a-ley)
Shunts (don't ask)
There is also hunting, Duck, Deer, Rabbit are the main
sport. There is also alligator, but that
is regulated by the government.
